Titus 3:8

Paul didn't just want Titus to know the truth—he wanted him to insist on it, to remind believers again and again that faith was never meant to sit still. When God saves us, He doesn't just clean us up for our own benefit. He sets us apart so our lives can do real good in a world that desperately needs it.

So what does that look like on an ordinary Tuesday? It looks like showing up for the friend who's struggling, being honest when a shortcut would be easier, or doing your job with excellence even when nobody's watching. Good works aren't always grand gestures. Most of the time, they're small, faithful choices that quietly bless the people around you.

Here's the connection to purity: a heart that's clean before God produces actions that are clean too. When your motives are pure—doing good because you love God, not because you want credit—your kindness carries weight. People can tell the difference between genuine care and performance.

Today, don't wait for a big opportunity to do good. Look for one person you can encourage, one need you can meet, one small act of faithfulness you can carry out. These things, Scripture says, are good and profitable—not just for you, but for everyone whose life they touch.

Father, thank You for saving me not because of my works, but for a purpose bigger than myself. Purify my motives and open my eyes to the good works You've prepared for me today. Help me live out my faith in ways that bless others and point them to You. Amen.
