Romans 8:28

Life doesn't always make sense. We face job losses, broken relationships, health scares, and seasons of waiting that leave us asking, "God, what are You doing?" The promise in this verse doesn't say all things ARE good. It says God is working IN all things, weaving even our pain into a bigger picture we can't always see.

Here's a practical way to live this out today: when something hard hits, swap the question "Why me?" for "God, how are You working in this?" That small shift moves you from victim to participant. You stop staring at the closed door and start looking for what God might be building in the waiting room.

Try this: write down two or three hard seasons from your past that God eventually used for something good. Maybe a rejection led to a better opportunity, or a painful season deepened your faith. Keep that list where you can see it. It becomes evidence for your heart the next time life falls apart.

Remember, trusting this promise doesn't mean pretending everything feels fine. It means choosing, sometimes hourly, to believe that God is not finished with your story. Take one worry you're carrying right now and physically hand it over in prayer. Then watch for small signs of His handiwork this week.

You are loved by God and called according to His purpose. That means nothing in your life is random or wasted, not even today's mess. Hold on to that truth, and let it give you courage for one more step.

Dear Lord, thank You that You are working in every part of my life, even the parts I don't understand. Help me trust You today with my worries, my disappointments, and my future. Teach me to rest in Your promise until I see what You are doing. Amen.
