Most of us don't think much about authority until we're stuck in traffic behind a police car or frustrated by a rule at work. But this verse gives us a bigger picture: God can work through human authority to keep order and protect people. That includes the leaders we like and the ones we don't.
The practical takeaway is simple: be a person who does good. Pay what you owe, tell the truth, follow the law, treat people fairly. When your life is clean, you don't have to look over your shoulder or live with that low hum of worry.
