Romans 13:14

Getting dressed is something you do on purpose. You don't drift into your clothes in the morning—you choose them and put them on. Paul says that's exactly how we're to treat Jesus: deliberately, every single day, clothing our thoughts, words, and choices with Him.

So how do you do that practically? Start your day with Him before the world starts talking to you. Even five minutes in Scripture, a short prayer on your commute, or a verse on your lock screen can set the tone for what you wear spiritually that day.

The second part of today's verse is just as practical: don't set the table for sin. If you're fighting a particular temptation, stop feeding it. Delete the app, avoid the website, change the route home, walk away from the conversation that always pulls you down. Purity isn't just saying no in the moment—it's removing the setup beforehand.

And when you stumble, don't hide in shame. Run back to God, receive His forgiveness, and put Jesus on again. This is a daily practice, not a one-time performance, and His grace meets you fresh every morning you need it.

Father, today I choose to clothe myself with Jesus—in my thoughts, my words, and my actions. Give me the courage to cut off whatever leads me away from You, and the grace to start again whenever I fall. In Jesus' name, Amen.
