Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:21 · Focus
Reflection 1

When someone cuts you off in traffic, takes credit for your work, or says something unfair about you, your first instinct is probably to fight back. That pull toward payback is real, and it feels justified. But here's the truth: retaliation keeps you tied to the very thing that hurt you.

Reflection 2

Today, try this. Think of one person who has wronged you, even in a small way. Then choose one simple act of good toward them. Maybe it's a kind word, a genuine prayer for them, or simply refusing to speak badly about them when the chance comes up.

Reflection 3

This isn't about being a pushover or pretending the hurt didn't happen. It's about refusing to let someone else's darkness decide how you live. When you answer evil with good, you take back the wheel.

Reflection 4

Start small and stay focused. You don't have to fix everything or feel warm fuzzies about the person. Just take the next right step, and let God handle the rest.

Prayer

Dear Lord, when I'm tempted to strike back, remind me that Your way is stronger than my anger. Give me the courage to answer hurt with kindness today. Amen.
