Revelation 3:15

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to drift in your faith? Not walking away from God, just settling into a comfortable middle ground where He gets your leftover time and energy. That's exactly what Jesus was confronting in Laodicea, and it's a word we still need today.

Lukewarm faith often doesn't look like anything dramatic. It looks like praying only when there's a crisis, attending church out of habit, and never letting God speak into your money, your relationships, or your calendar. The problem isn't that we're doing something terribly wrong. It's that we've stopped doing anything wholeheartedly.

So here's the practical question: where has your faith become routine? Pick one area this week and turn up the heat. If your prayer life is dry, set aside ten minutes each morning just to talk and listen to God. If giving has become an afterthought, make it a joyful first choice instead.

Also, be honest with yourself about what competes for your focus. Sometimes we're lukewarm toward God because we're red-hot toward other things: our phones, our careers, our entertainment. This isn't about guilt. It's about recalibrating, so the most important relationship in your life actually gets the attention it deserves.

Jesus doesn't say this to shame us. He says it because He wants all of us, and He knows a half-hearted life never satisfies anyone. Wholehearted faith isn't about perfection. It's about direction, choosing each day to pursue God with warmth instead of drifting through the motions.

Dear Lord, forgive me for the places where my faith has gone lukewarm. Rekindle my passion for You and help me give You my best, not my leftovers. Make my love for You hot, active, and real today. Amen.
