So what does this mean for you on an ordinary Tuesday? It means when your faith costs you something—maybe a strained friendship, a mocking comment at work, or a door that closes because you chose integrity—you don't have to panic or back down. Endurance often looks like simply staying faithful in that moment instead of taking the easier way out.
And notice, we don't endure by gritting our teeth alone. The verse pairs endurance with faith. Real staying power comes from trusting that God is still on the throne, still good, and still working even when life feels heavy and unfair.
Today, resist the temptation to live scared of what might happen. Instead, live ready. Keep your heart soft, keep praying, and keep showing up for God no matter the cost. That's what the saints have always done—ordinary people who simply refused to quit.
