Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, including those who pierced him. All the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. Even so, Amen.
One day, the sky will split open and Jesus will return—and no one will miss it. Not one person on earth will be able to say they didn't see Him. That's not a fairy tale or a scare tactic. It's a promise, and God has never broken a promise yet.
So what does that mean for your Tuesday? It means you live today like a person who knows how the story ends. When the news scares you, when the bills pile up, when your health fails—remember, this world is not the finish line. Jesus is coming back, and He's setting everything right.
It also means we stay ready. Not by obsessing over dates and signs, but by keeping our hearts clean and our lives pointed at Him. Forgive that person. Make that apology. Let go of that secret sin. You don't want to be caught holding grudges when your eyes meet His.
And here's the part we often forget: every eye will see Him. Your neighbors, your coworkers, your family members who don't believe yet. They will see Him too—and how they meet Him matters. Live so kindly, love so openly, and speak so honestly about Jesus that someone might be ready to greet Him with joy instead of grief.
The verse ends with two little words: 'Even so, Amen.' That's a believer saying, 'Yes, Lord—come.' Can you say that today? If your heart hesitates, ask Him to make it ready. The best way to face His return is to walk closely with Him right now.
Dear Lord, thank You that Jesus is coming back and that this broken world is not the end of the story. Help me live today ready—clean-hearted, hopeful, and busy loving the people around me. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. Amen.
