Psalms 95:6

There's something our proud hearts resist about kneeling. The world tells us to stand tall, promote ourselves, and never back down. But this verse invites us into something completely different: bowing low before the One who made us. Worship isn't just singing songs. It's admitting that God is God and we are not.

Try starting tomorrow with this posture, even physically. Before you reach for your phone, take sixty seconds by your bedside to kneel or simply bow your head and acknowledge your Maker. It sounds small, but it sets the tone for your whole day. You begin as someone held by God, not someone who has to hold everything together alone.

Humility also shows up in how we treat people. Everyone you meet today was made by the same hands that made you. When you remember that, it's easier to listen patiently, apologize quickly, and let go of the need to always be right.

Finally, kneeling means surrendering control. Maybe there's a plan, a worry, or a dream you've been gripping tightly. Bring it to God today and open your hands. Bowing before your Maker is the safest place to release what you were never meant to carry.

Father, teach me to bow my heart before You today, not just in church but in every ordinary moment. Keep me humble in my work, my relationships, and my plans. You are my Maker, and I rest in that today. Amen.
