Psalms 86:15

We all have moments we're not proud of—a sharp word to our kids, a selfish choice, a prayer life that went quiet. On those days, it's easy to imagine God frowning at us from a distance. But this verse tells us the truth about who He is: mercy first, grace abundant, patience that doesn't run out.

That means you don't have to clean yourself up before you come to Him. When you blow it today, don't hide like Adam and Eve in the garden. Run toward God, not away from Him. Say it plainly—"Lord, I messed up"—and let His kindness meet you right there.

There's also a challenge hiding in this comfort. If God is slow to anger with you, He invites you to be slow to anger with the people around you. The coworker who irritates you, the family member who pushes your buttons—pause and ask, "How patient has God been with me?" Then give a fraction of that patience away.

Try one small act of loving kindness before the day ends. Forgive someone quickly instead of holding the grudge one more hour. Speak gently when you could snap. These little choices are how God's character becomes visible in ordinary life—and how we become more like the One we follow.

Dear Lord, thank You that Your mercy is bigger than my worst day and Your patience never wears thin. Help me receive Your grace honestly today, and then pass it on to everyone I meet. Amen.
