Psalms 69:30

Praise isn't just for Sunday mornings or days when everything is going well. The writer of this psalm was going through a deeply painful season, yet he chose to lift his voice anyway. That's the real test of praise: not whether we can sing when life is easy, but whether we can still sing when it isn't.

Try something simple today: put on a worship song and sing along, even if it's just in your car or while washing dishes. You don't need a good voice, just a willing heart. Singing out loud does something inside us that silent thinking never quite does. It moves praise from our heads into our hearts.

To magnify God doesn't mean He gets bigger—He's already infinite. It means He gets bigger in our sight. When we stop to thank Him for specific things, our problems shrink back down to their actual size, and we remember who is really in control.

So here's your challenge: before tonight, name three things out loud that you're thankful to God for. Maybe it's your health, a friend who called, or simply that He never left your side this week. Gratitude spoken aloud becomes praise that lifts your whole day.

The more you practice thanksgiving, the more natural it becomes. What starts as an effort turns into a habit, and that habit turns into a life of worship. Start small, start today, and watch how it changes the way you see everything else.

Dear Lord, thank You for being worthy of my praise on good days and hard days alike. Help me to lift my voice in song and fill my mouth with thanksgiving today. Make You bigger in my eyes and smaller every worry that weighs me down. Amen.
