Psalms 51:7

When David wrote these words, he had messed up badly, and he knew it. He didn't make excuses or try to hide. He came straight to God and asked to be made clean. That's where real purity begins—not with pretending we're fine, but with honest confession.

Notice that David didn't offer to clean himself up first. He asked God to do the washing. We often hold onto guilt because we think we have to earn our way back to God, but cleansing is His work, not ours. Our part is simply to come.

So today, bring whatever you've been hiding—old shame, a habit you can't seem to break, words you wish you'd never said—and lay it before Him. Name it plainly in prayer. Then thank God that His forgiveness is complete, not partial.

And once you've been washed, live like it. Stop re-scrubbing what God has already declared clean. Whiter than snow isn't 'almost forgiven'—it's completely, fully forgiven. Walk through today from that clean place.

Dear Lord, I bring You the things I've kept hidden, and I ask You to wash me clean inside and out. Help me stop carrying guilt You have already taken away. Thank You for making me new today. Amen.
