Psalms 51:6

It is easy to manage our image. We know how to look put-together at work, at church, and online. But God is not impressed by the surface. He cares about what is happening in the places no one else sees: our motives, our secrets, and the thoughts we try to bury.

Living this out starts with being honest with yourself. Instead of saying, 'I am just tired' or 'It is not that big a deal,' pause and ask what is really going on in your heart. Maybe there is resentment you have ignored or a habit you keep excusing. Naming it is the first step.

Then bring that honesty to God. He already knows everything, so confession is not about informing Him; it is about opening the door. When you tell Him the truth about yourself, you will not find shame waiting for you. You will find grace ready to meet you.

Try this today: take five quiet minutes and simply ask God, 'What is really going on inside me?' Then listen without rushing to defend yourself. That small habit of inner honesty is where His wisdom takes root and begins to change us from the inside out.

Dear Lord, You see every corner of my heart, so I am done pretending. Search me, show me the truth about myself, and teach me Your wisdom in those hidden places. Thank You that Your grace is bigger than anything I bring to You. Amen.
