Psalms 37:4

Think about someone you truly enjoy being around. You don't need a reason to spend time with them—you just want to. That's what God is inviting you into here: not a duty, but a delight. He wants you to actually enjoy being with Him.

So how do you do that on an ordinary Tuesday? Start small. Thank Him out loud for your morning coffee, a text from a friend, or the way the sun came through the window. Talk to Him while you drive or wash dishes. Delight grows in these small, everyday moments.

Here's the beautiful part: when God becomes your joy, your wants start to change. The things you hunger for begin to line up with what He loves. You stop chasing things that leave you empty, because your heart is full of something better.

This isn't a formula for getting whatever you want. It's a promise that when you treasure God most, He shapes your deepest desires—and then He graciously fulfills them. Real joy starts with delighting in Him, not in what He can give.

Father, help me enjoy You today, not just obey You from a distance. Teach me to find my joy in Your presence, and let my desires be shaped by Yours. Thank You for being a God who loves to give good things to those who delight in Him. Amen.
