What comes out of your mouth matters more than you might think. The words you speak at the kitchen table, in the break room, or on the phone reveal what's really living in your heart. God isn't asking for fancy speeches or perfect theology—He's asking for everyday talk that's honest, kind, and wise.
Psalms 37:30

The mouth of the righteous talks of wisdom. His tongue speaks justice.
So what does that look like today? It might mean pausing before you fire back a sarcastic reply. It might mean choosing to say something true and helpful when everyone else is gossiping. Sometimes speaking wisdom even means staying quiet and listening well.
The verse also mentions justice—standing up for what's right with your words. Maybe that's defending someone who isn't in the room, or speaking up for a person who's been overlooked. Your voice can be a shield for someone else today.
Here's the good news: you don't have to manufacture wise words on your own. When you spend time with God in His Word, wisdom starts to fill you up and naturally spills out. Fill your heart with good things, and good things will come out.
Before your next conversation, take a breath and ask God to guide your tongue. One wise sentence can change a whole relationship, an argument, or even someone's day. Let your mouth be a tool God can use.
Dear Lord, please guard my mouth today and fill my heart with Your wisdom. Help me speak words that bring truth, kindness, and justice into every conversation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
