Psalms 27:1

Fear shows up in ordinary ways: the phone call from the doctor, the bills stacking up, the hard conversation you keep putting off. Fear loves to ask "what if" until the problem looks bigger than God. But David wrote these words while real enemies were hunting him down. He didn't pretend life was easy—he just knew where his help came from.

Notice that courage here isn't about feeling strong. It's about knowing who your strength is. When God is your light, the darkness around you doesn't get the final say. When He is your salvation, no situation can put you beyond His reach.

So here's a practical step for today: when fear rises, pause and name it out loud to God. Say something simple like, "Lord, You are my light in this situation." That small act moves your eyes off the size of the problem and back onto the size of your God.

Then take one brave step anyway—make the call, have the talk, face the day. You don't have to feel fearless to act in faith. You just have to lean on the One who is your strength, and let Him carry what you can't.

Dear Lord, thank You for being my light when everything around me feels dark and my strength when I feel weak. Help me bring my fears to You today instead of carrying them alone. I choose to trust You with whatever this day holds. Amen.
