Psalms 18:1

There's something powerful about telling God directly that you love Him. So often our prayers are filled with requests, worries, and needs — and God welcomes all of that — but a simple declaration of love warms His heart and softens ours. Love is meant to be spoken out loud, even when God already knows it.

Try starting your morning with those words before you ask for anything else. Before you check your phone or your to-do list starts running through your head, simply say, 'Lord, I love You.' It takes ten seconds, but it points your whole day toward Him.

Notice that love and strength are joined together in one breath. When you feel weak today — tired at work, stretched thin at home, tempted to give up — remember that the One you love is the One who strengthens you. You don't have to drum up willpower; you can lean on Him.

One way to grow this love is by remembering. Tonight, look back over your day and spot where God carried you: the patience you didn't think you had, the provision you didn't expect, the peace that made no sense. Gratitude turns what you believe about God into real love for Him.

Father, I love You — You are my strength when I have none of my own. Help me lean on You in every small moment today, and keep my heart tender toward You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
