Psalms 138:6

Isn't it wonderful that the God who holds the universe together bends down to notice people like us? He isn't impressed by titles, money, or how many followers we have. What draws His attention is a heart that knows its need for Him.

Pride does something sneaky. It convinces us we've got everything under control, that we don't really need God's help today. But that self-sufficiency builds a wall, and we end up feeling distant from the very One who wants to be close.

So what does humility look like on an ordinary Tuesday? It's admitting when you're wrong without making excuses. It's asking for help instead of pretending you're fine. It's doing something kind without needing anyone to notice or thank you.

Here's the good news: humility isn't about thinking little of yourself. It's about being honest before God, and that honesty is an open door. When you come to Him lowly and real, you'll find He's already leaning in close.

Remember, the path to God's nearness runs low, not high. The lower you bow, the closer He comes.

Father, keep me from the pride that pushes You away. Teach me to walk through this day with an honest, humble heart that depends on You. Thank You for drawing near when I get low. Amen.
