Psalms 119:30

Faith is not just something we feel; it is something we choose. Every single day, we stand at a crossroads between what is easy and what is true. Choosing God's way often means turning down the shortcut, refusing the small compromise, and taking the slower path that honors Him.

Notice that this is a personal decision, not a passive hope. Nobody drifts into a life of truth on autopilot. The writer of this psalm made a deliberate choice, and so must we, especially on the days when it costs us something.

One simple way to live this out today is to keep God's Word in front of you, not just in a book on a shelf. Put a verse where you will see it, open Scripture before you open your phone, or whisper a prayer before a hard conversation. What we keep before our eyes slowly shapes the direction of our steps.

Before you respond to that difficult message, make that big decision, or face that temptation, pause and ask one question: what does God's truth say about this? Then choose His way, even if it is the harder one. Faith grows one small, obedient choice at a time.

Dear Lord, help me choose Your way of truth today, even when the easier road is right in front of me. Keep Your Word before my eyes and close to my heart, and guide every decision I make. Amen.
