Psalms 119:114

This verse points us to a hiding place that actually works.

God invites you to run to Him, not away from Him. When your heart starts racing today, try this: pause, take a breath, and quietly tell Him exactly what you are afraid of. You are not escaping real life; you are stepping into the one shelter that can actually hold you. And He is not only your hiding place but your shield, going ahead of you into situations you cannot control.

Notice the last part: hope is anchored in His word, not in wishful thinking. Hope that depends on circumstances will wobble every time. But when you know what God has promised, you have something solid to stand on when everything else shakes. So open your Bible today, even for five minutes, and find one promise to carry with you.

Here is your practical challenge for today. Before you reach for your phone the next time stress hits, take sixty seconds to pray and repeat that promise back to God. Small moments of hiding in Him, practiced daily, build a life of real and steady hope.

Dear Lord, thank You for being my safe place when everything around me feels shaky. Teach me to run to You first instead of my usual escapes, and anchor my hope in Your promises today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
