Psalms 108:1

A steadfast heart is a settled heart. It is not tossed around by whatever the day brings, because it made up its mind ahead of time: God is worthy of my praise, no matter what. That kind of steadiness does not happen by accident. It happens when we decide, before the troubles come, that we will still worship.

Try starting tomorrow with that decision already made. Before you check your phone, before the news, before the to-do list crowds in, take a moment to say thank you to God out loud. It can be as simple as a whispered prayer over your coffee. What you do first often shapes everything that follows.

And here is the honest part: some days you will not feel like singing. Sing anyway. Praise is not a performance based on your mood; it is a choice rooted in who God is. There is something powerful about lifting your voice in the car, in the kitchen, or in the middle of a hard week, because it reminds your heart what is actually true.

So today, give it a try. Put on a worship song while you get ready, hum while you work, or simply tell God one good thing about who He is. Steadfast hearts are built one small song at a time.

Dear Lord, make my heart steady in You, even when my circumstances are not. Today I choose to praise You with my whole soul, whether I feel like it or not. Amen.
