Proverbs 4:7

We work hard for a lot of things—a bigger paycheck, a nicer car, a comfortable home. But Solomon says there's one treasure worth more than all of them put together: wisdom. It's not a nice bonus for life; it's the main thing. Everything else goes better when we pursue it first.

So what does that look like on an ordinary Tuesday? Wisdom shows up in the small stuff—how you respond when a coworker snaps at you, whether you swipe that credit card, how you talk to your kids when you're exhausted. Getting wisdom means pausing to ask, 'What's the wise thing to do here?' before you act, not after.

The good news is that God gives wisdom generously to anyone who asks. So start today: open your Bible before your phone, spend time with people who make you sharper, and be humble enough to ask for advice when you need it. Wisdom grows through those small, daily choices.

Yes, it will cost you something—your time, your pride, maybe a few plans you really loved. But you will never regret trading temporary things for the understanding that steadies your whole life. Invest in wisdom. It's the one purchase that always pays off.

Father, give me a hunger for Your wisdom that outweighs anything money can buy. Help me seek You first in every decision, big or small, today and every day. Amen.
