Get wisdom. Get understanding. Don’t forget, and don’t deviate from the words of my mouth.

Proverbs 4:5 · Wisdom
Reflection 1

Notice the verse doesn't say wait around for wisdom—it says get it. Wisdom is something we chase, not something that just falls into our laps. That means being intentional: opening your Bible, asking good questions, and listening to people who walk closely with God.

Reflection 2

Practically, this starts with small daily habits. Spend a few minutes in Scripture before you check your phone. When you face a decision, big or small, pause and ask yourself what God says about it before you act.

Reflection 3

The verse also warns us not to drift. Most of us don't abandon God's ways all at once—we wander off one small compromise at a time. Staying on the path means checking your direction regularly and correcting course quickly when you notice you've strayed.

Reflection 4

So today, pick one area of your life—your money, your words, a strained relationship—and invite God's wisdom into it. Write down what He shows you. Understanding grows every single time you choose His way over your own.

Prayer

Father, I need Your wisdom for every part of my day. Help me seek You first, listen well, and stay on Your path even when it's the harder road. In Jesus' name, Amen.
