Proverbs 29:3

Wisdom isn't just knowing what's right — it's loving it enough to actually live it. When you choose God's way over your own impulses, something beautiful happens: the people who care about you get to watch you flourish. There is real, deep joy in seeing someone you love make good choices.

Think about the people who have invested in you — a parent, a grandparent, a mentor, a teacher. Your wise decisions today are a gift to them. Choosing honesty at work, patience at home, or self-control with your money may feel small in the moment, but it honors everyone who prayed for you and poured into your life.

So how do you love wisdom practically? Start small. Ask God for guidance before big decisions. Pause before reacting in anger. Seek advice from someone older and wiser instead of trusting only your own opinion. These little habits build a life that blesses the people around you.

And if your earthly father isn't in the picture, or the relationship is strained, take heart — your choices still bring joy to your Heavenly Father. He delights every single time one of His children walks in wisdom. That's a joy you can give Him today, right where you are.

Dear Lord, help me to love wisdom the way You do and to seek it in my everyday choices. Make my life a source of joy to You and to the people who love me. Amen.
