Proverbs 18:12

Pride rarely announces itself. It slips in quietly—when we insist on having the last word, when we can't admit we were wrong, or when we secretly want credit for everything we do.

Humility looks different. It shows up when you apologize first, ask for help without embarrassment, or let someone else take the recognition.

Try practicing it today in small ways. Ask a coworker or family member for their opinion before making a decision. When someone corrects you, say thank you instead of getting defensive.

Here is the good news: God honors those who lower themselves. You don't have to fight for attention or prove your worth. When you choose the low place, you leave room for Him to lift you up.

Dear Lord, keep me from the quiet pride that hides in my heart. Teach me to listen well, admit my faults quickly, and serve others without needing credit. I trust You to lift me up in Your perfect time. Amen.
