Have you ever received a kind word at exactly the right moment? Maybe someone noticed your hard work, or a friend simply said, 'I'm praying for you.' Those words can stay with us for years, because God gave our words real power — the power to lift a heavy heart or to crush it.
Proverbs 16:24

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Today, be intentional about what comes out of your mouth. Before you speak to your spouse, your kids, your coworker, or the stranger at the checkout, pause and ask: will these words heal or wound? A simple 'thank you' or 'you're doing a great job' costs nothing, but it can change someone's whole day.
This matters most when someone is difficult. It's easy to answer a sharp tone with a sharper one, but gracious words break that cycle like cool water on a burn. When you respond gently to anger, you're not being weak — you're handing out medicine.
Don't forget your own ears, either. The way you talk to yourself matters to God. If you've been replaying criticism or failure in your head, trade those words for what He says about you: loved, forgiven, and worth dying for.
Father, make my words sweet and healing today. Guard my mouth from anything that tears down, and fill it with words that build up. Let everyone I talk to walk away a little lighter. In Jesus' name, Amen.
