Proverbs 15:14

Every day, you and I are feeding on something. It might be endless scrolling, gossip, complaint, or content that leaves us emptier than before. This verse reminds us that wise people are intentional about what they take in, while foolish people just consume whatever is in front of them.

So here is a practical question: what are you feeding on this week? Take an honest look at your habits. If your input is mostly noise, your heart and words will eventually show it. But if you pursue knowledge—through Scripture, good books, meaningful conversations, or simply asking questions—wisdom starts to grow in you.

Being a seeker of knowledge does not mean you need a degree or hours of study. It starts small. Swap ten minutes of scrolling for a chapter of the Bible. Ask a coworker a real question and actually listen. Choose one podcast or book that stretches you instead of just entertains you.

The beautiful thing is that what you feed on eventually flows out of you. Fill your heart with truth, and patience, insight, and kind words start coming out—even under pressure. Today, choose your intake on purpose. Your future self, and everyone around you, will be glad you did.

Dear Lord, help me be intentional about what I feed my heart and mind today. Give me a hunger for what is true and good, and guard me from the empty noise that pulls me away from You. Make me someone who seeks wisdom and shares it with others. Amen.
