Proverbs 11:30

Think about what a healthy tree does for the people around it. It gives shade on a hot day, fruit when someone is hungry, and a quiet place to rest. That's the kind of person God wants you to be—not just good for your own sake, but good for everyone in your circle.

This happens in small, ordinary moments. It's the patience you show a difficult coworker, the honesty you keep when a shortcut would be easier, the kindness you offer someone everyone else has overlooked. People notice a life like that. It makes them curious about the God behind it.

Notice that the verse says the wise person wins souls—it doesn't say the loudest or the most argumentative one. Winning someone's heart usually looks like listening well, asking good questions, and showing up when it matters. You don't have to have the perfect speech. You just have to be genuinely loving and let God do the rest.

So here's your challenge today: pick one person God has placed in your life who needs encouragement, and do one simple thing for them. Send the text, make the call, offer the help. Deep roots grow before fruit appears, so stay planted in God, and trust Him to make your life a source of life for others.

Dear Lord, make my life like a tree that gives shade and fruit to everyone around me. Give me Your wisdom to love people well and gently point them toward You. Use my small, ordinary acts of faithfulness today to bring someone closer to Your heart. Amen.
