Notice how the people in this story didn't hesitate to bring their worst to Jesus. Whatever the condition — painful, embarrassing, or seemingly hopeless — someone carried them to him. That's the same invitation we have today: nothing in your life is too messy to bring to God.
Maybe you've been quietly managing a struggle on your own — a habit you can't break, an anxiety that won't lift, a relationship that feels beyond repair. The people here show us the way: they didn't clean themselves up first, they just came. Bring your situation to Jesus exactly as it is.
This passage also calls us to be bringers for others. Who around you is hurting and too weak to seek God on their own right now? Pray for them by name, send the encouraging text, offer to pray with them. Your small act of carrying someone might be the doorway to their healing.
Deliverance often begins the moment we stop pretending we're fine. Jesus wasn't overwhelmed by that crowd with all its diseases and torments, and he isn't overwhelmed by your situation either. Come honestly, come expectantly, and let him do what only he can do.
