Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.
Have you ever stared at a problem so big it felt like a mountain? Maybe it's a marriage that seems beyond repair, a debt that never shrinks, or a fear you've carried for years. Jesus wasn't exaggerating when He said faith can move what looks permanently planted. He wants you to stop measuring your situation by its size and start measuring it by God's power.
So what does this look like on a normal Tuesday? It looks like praying specifically about that mountain instead of just worrying about it. It looks like saying, "God, I believe You can handle this," and then actually living like you believe it. Faith isn't a feeling you work up; it's a choice to trust God's character when your eyes see something else.
Notice Jesus paired faith with "don't doubt." Doubt often sneaks in through our own words. When you catch yourself saying, "Nothing will ever change" or "This is just how it is," stop and replace that talk with God's truth. What you say to yourself and to God matters more than what the mountain says to you.
Start small today. Pick one mountain in your life, write it down, and commit it to God in prayer each morning this week. Then watch for His movement, even in little ways, and thank Him for each one. Mountains don't usually move all at once, but a faith-filled heart keeps praying until they do.
Father, I bring You the mountain in my life that feels too heavy to move. Forgive me for the times I've doubted Your power, and grow my faith so I trust You fully. I choose today to believe that nothing is too hard for You. Amen.
