Mark 16:18

When Jesus spoke these words, He was not talking to a special class of super-spiritual people. He was speaking to ordinary followers, people with doubts, fears, and busy lives, just like you and me. If you believe in Him, this promise belongs to you too.

Most of us overthink praying for the sick. We wait until we feel qualified, or until someone formally asks us. Meanwhile, the sick coworker, the neighbor going through treatment, the friend with a sick child at home; they are often quietly hoping someone will care enough to stop and pray.

Here is your practical step for today: when you hear about someone who is ill, do not just say you will keep them in your thoughts. Offer to pray with them right there, even if it feels awkward. Keep it simple and honest: Lord, please heal them, touch their body, and give them peace. God does the healing; He only asks for your willingness.

And do not give up if recovery is slow. Some healings come instantly, others unfold over weeks or months of continued prayer. Keep laying your hands of faith on the situation by praying again and again, trusting that God hears every single time.

Dear Lord, thank You that You still heal people today, and that You want to use someone as ordinary as me. Give me the courage to pray boldly for the sick people You place in my path, and help me trust You completely with the results. In Jesus' name, Amen.
