Malachi 3:6

Everything around you shifts. Jobs change, health changes, people change, and honestly, your own feelings about God change from day to day. But God doesn't. The same God who carried you through last year's hard season is the exact same God sitting with you today.

That's not just comforting trivia, it's your lifeline when you mess up. The people in this verse deserved consequences, yet God's unchanging mercy is the very reason they weren't wiped out. So when you fail this week, you don't have to hide from God or scramble to earn your way back. His heart toward you didn't move, even when you did.

Here's a practical way to live this out: when anxiety creeps in because life feels shaky, pause and name one thing about God that hasn't changed. His love, His presence, His promise to never leave you. Say it out loud if you need to. Let that be the anchor for your day instead of your circumstances.

And don't measure God's nearness by your morning mood. Some days you'll feel close to Him, other days He'll seem quiet, but His character is not riding on your emotions. Build your life on what never moves, and you'll find steady ground no matter what this week throws at you.

Father, thank You that You never change, even when everything else does. When my world feels unstable, help me anchor my heart in Your steady love and mercy. Keep me trusting You today. Amen.
