Malachi 2:7

In Malachi's day, the priests carried a serious responsibility: know God's Word, guard it, and teach it faithfully. Their mouths were meant to be a trustworthy source of truth for the whole community. When they stopped doing that, everyone around them suffered.

Here's the beautiful part: through Christ, that calling now belongs to every believer. If you follow Jesus, you are part of a royal priesthood. God's Word isn't meant to sit on a shelf or only be heard once a week — it's meant to live in your heart and shape your words.

So start with your own intake. Set aside even ten minutes a day to read Scripture and let it sink in. Carry one verse with you this week — write it down, memorize it on your commute, or pray it over your family.

Then remember that people are listening to you. Your kids, coworkers, and friends are forming their picture of God from somewhere, and often that somewhere is you. Live the truth honestly and speak it gently, so others can find real answers when they come looking.

Finally, be careful where you get your knowledge. Not every voice deserves your trust, no matter how popular it is. Test every teaching against God's Word, including what you hear from the people you admire most.

Father, thank You for entrusting me with Your truth. Fill my heart with Your Word and my mouth with Your wisdom, so I can be a faithful messenger to everyone around me. Amen.
