Have you ever gotten bad news right when you were believing God for a breakthrough? Maybe the doctor's report came back worse, the job fell through, or the relationship finally broke. That's exactly where this father stood. His daughter was sick, he had asked Jesus for help, and then the messengers arrived with the worst possible update.

But Jesus hearing it, answered him,“Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”
Notice what Jesus says in that moment. He doesn't explain the delay. He doesn't minimize the pain. He simply tells this hurting dad two things: don't be afraid, and keep believing. God's timing often runs right through our worst-case scenario, not around it.
So what does this look like in your life today? When fear whispers that it's too late, you can answer out loud, "I'm still trusting God with this." Keep praying about that situation. Keep speaking hope over your family. Faith isn't pretending the report isn't real; it's refusing to let the report have the final word.
Here's a simple step: write down one area where you've almost given up. Then, each morning this week, hand it back to God before you check your phone or the news. Small acts of trust, repeated daily, keep your heart soft and your hope alive. Jesus is still in the business of walking into what looks hopeless and bringing life out of it.
Dear Lord, when fear rises and the news is bad, help me hold on to You instead of giving up. Teach me to keep believing even when I can't see the outcome yet. I place my situation in Your hands today, trusting that nothing is too late for You. Amen.
