Jesus noticed something in that room that others missed. While a religious man sat back and judged, a broken woman poured out her love without holding anything back. Her love was so big because she never forgot how much she had been forgiven.
It's easy for us to drift into thinking we were never that bad. We compare ourselves to others and quietly decide we only needed a little grace. But when we forget the size of our debt, our love for God grows small and cold.
Today, take a few minutes to remember what God has rescued you from. Think about the habits He broke, the shame He lifted, the doors He opened. Let that memory stir up fresh gratitude instead of fading into routine.
This truth also changes how we treat people who have hurt us. If God canceled a debt we could never pay, we can release the smaller debts others owe us. Forgiving someone today might be the most honest way to show you really believe how much you have been forgiven.
