Luke 21:36

Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Luke 21:36 · Focus
Reflection 1

Jesus spoke these words to ordinary people who would face pressure, distraction, and hard days ahead. He wasn't telling them to live in fear. He was inviting them to live awake—with hearts that stay soft and eyes that stay on Him.

Reflection 2

Staying watchful today means noticing what pulls your attention away from God. The endless scrolling, the worry spiral, the busy rush—these things quietly dull our spirits. Take an honest look at your day and ask: what's been stealing my focus?

Reflection 3

Prayer is how we stay ready. It doesn't have to be long or fancy. A simple prayer in the morning, a whispered "help me, Lord" during a stressful moment, a quick thank-you at night—these small moments keep your heart connected to God.

Reflection 4

Try this: set one pause point in your day. Maybe it's your lunch break or the drive home. In that moment, ask yourself, "Where is my heart right now?" Then turn back to God, even if you've drifted. Standing firm before Jesus someday starts with standing close to Him today.

Prayer

Dear Lord, keep my heart awake and my eyes fixed on You. Guard me from the distractions that pull me away, and help me build simple habits of prayer each day. I want to live ready and stand close to You. Amen.
