Luke 21:15

Jesus spoke these words to people who would one day stand before hostile authorities because of their faith. He didn't promise them an escape from the hard moment — He promised something better: His own words and wisdom in their mouths. Whatever opposition you face, you never stand in it alone.

Maybe your version of an adversary isn't a courtroom. Maybe it's a coworker who mocks your faith, a family member who challenges every conviction, or a difficult conversation you've been dreading for weeks. It's easy to lie awake replaying what you should have said or worrying about what you'll say next time.

Here's the practical takeaway: your job is to stay close to Jesus, not to script every answer. Walk with Him daily in prayer and His Word, so His wisdom is already taking root in you. Then when the moment comes, take a breath, speak honestly, and trust Him to supply the words. You bring the willingness; He brings the wisdom.

This doesn't mean you'll always win the argument — Jesus' followers didn't either. But it means your words will carry a weight that human cleverness can't match or shut down. Real peace comes from knowing the outcome belongs to God, not to your performance.

Dear Lord, thank You that I don't have to face hard conversations in my own strength. When opposition comes, fill my mouth with Your words and my heart with Your wisdom. Help me trust You in the moment instead of fearing it. Amen.
