Luke 2:32

An old man named Simeon held a baby in his arms and saw the fulfillment of God's promise. He had waited his whole life, and in that moment he recognized that this child was not just for his own nation but for every nation on earth. God's salvation was never meant to stay inside one group of people—it was always meant to reach the whole world.

That truth should change how we see the people around us. There is no one beyond the reach of God's light—not the coworker everyone avoids, not the family member who has wandered far, not even the person you've quietly given up on. If Jesus came as light for all people, then no one is too far gone, too different, or too broken to be invited in.

Practically, this means we carry light into dark places. It might look like a kind word to someone who feels invisible, a patient conversation with someone whose beliefs differ from yours, or a simple invitation to church that you've been putting off. Light doesn't argue people into hope—it simply shines where it's allowed to shine.

And Simeon called this child glory, which means Jesus deserves the first place, not the leftover place. Today, ask yourself honestly: is He at the center of your schedule, your money, your priorities? Letting Him have glory isn't about rules—it's about putting your life in the hands of the One who knows it best.

Dear Lord, thank You that Your light came for everyone, including me and the people I'm tempted to overlook. Help me carry that light into my everyday places today. And keep Jesus at the center of my life, not on the edges. Amen.
