Loving God isn't just a feeling we have on good days. It's a choice we make with every part of who we are—our emotions, our thoughts, our energy, our decisions. That means God doesn't want one hour of your week; He wants to be woven into everything, from how you work to how you worry.
Luke 10:27

He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
So what does this look like today? Start with your mind. Before you scroll your phone or turn on the news, give God the first few minutes of your attention. Let one honest prayer, one verse, or one moment of gratitude set the direction for your day.
Then love gets practical with people. Your neighbor isn't just the friendly family next door—it's the coworker who gets on your nerves, the driver who cut you off, the friend who hasn't called in months. Loving them as yourself means treating them the way you'd want to be treated, especially when they don't deserve it.
And notice that Jesus said to love your neighbor as yourself. That includes showing yourself some grace, too. You can't pour out love from an empty heart, so let God fill you up first.
Don't try to do all of this at once. Pick one person and one small act of love today. Obedience usually starts small and grows from there.
Dear Lord, help me love You with everything I have—not just on Sundays, but in the ordinary moments of today. Open my eyes to the people around me who need Your love, and give me the courage to show it. Amen.
