When Jesus sent out His followers, they came back amazed—even the demons had to obey them. Jesus wanted them to know this wasn't a one-time miracle. It was an authority they could carry into every situation. And through Christ, that same authority belongs to you.
So what does this look like on an ordinary Tuesday? It means fear doesn't get to drive your decisions. When anxiety whispers that you're powerless over your finances, your family, or your future, you can answer back with quiet confidence, because you're not facing anything in your own strength.
Think of it like a police officer directing traffic. They don't wrestle cars to a stop; they simply raise a hand, and cars stop, because of the authority behind the badge. Your authority comes from Jesus, not from how strong or spiritual you feel on any given day.
Today, practice standing your ground. When temptation, worry, or spiritual heaviness shows up, don't run and don't freeze—pray, speak God's truth out loud, and keep moving forward. The enemy's power is real, but it's beneath your feet, not above your head.
Dear Lord, thank You that I don't walk through this day defenseless. Help me live in the authority You've given me, standing firm against fear and every scheme of the enemy. I trust You to keep me as I follow You today. Amen.
