When the angel announced Jesus' coming to Mary, her life was about to be turned upside down. She was young, ordinary, and facing something she couldn't explain to anyone. Yet God anchored her in a promise bigger than her circumstances: a King whose reign would never end.
That promise matters for us too. Every earthly kingdom eventually falls — governments change, economies shift, and our own carefully made plans can crumble overnight. But the kingdom Jesus rules is different. It has no expiration date, and no crisis can shake it.
So how do we live this out today? Start by placing your ultimate security in your King, not in anything temporary. When the news feels heavy or your future looks foggy, remind yourself that the throne of Jesus is not up for election. He reigns right now, and He will never be removed.
Then live like a citizen of that unshakable kingdom. Forgive quickly, give generously, work honestly, and love the people right in front of you. Every act of faithfulness is an investment in the only kingdom that lasts forever.
Dear Lord, thank You that Your Son's kingdom will never end. Help me rest in His unshakable reign when everything around me feels uncertain. Teach me to live today for what lasts forever. Amen.
