Jesus therefore said to them again, “Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”
When the disciples saw Jesus after His resurrection, they were hiding behind locked doors, full of fear. He didn't scold them for hiding. He walked right into their fear and spoke peace over them first. That's how God works with us too—He meets us in our hiding places before He ever asks us to move.
Notice the order: peace first, then sending. Jesus doesn't wait for us to get brave or perfect before He has a purpose for us. Whatever fear, shame, or struggle is holding you today, His peace comes before His assignment. You don't have to be fearless to be useful to God—you just have to be available.
Being sent doesn't mean you need a pulpit or a passport. It looks like checking on a lonely neighbor, speaking kindly to that difficult coworker, forgiving someone who hurt you, or sharing hope with a friend who's barely holding on. Today, you carry His peace into the places you were already going.
Deliverance isn't just about being freed from something—it's being freed for something. The same Jesus who brought you out of your locked room wants to send you back out with His peace in your pocket. Don't let fear write your story anymore. Step out, and let Him work through you today.
Dear Lord, thank You for meeting me in my fear and speaking peace over me before You ever ask me to move. Today, help me step out from behind my locked doors and carry Your peace into every room You send me to. In Jesus' name, Amen.
