However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.
Jesus didn't leave His followers to figure out life on their own. He promised a Guide—the Holy Spirit—who would lead them into truth. That same promise is for you today. Whatever decision, confusion, or crossroads you're facing, you don't have to walk through it blindly.
Here's the practical part: guidance usually comes when we make space to listen. Before a big choice, pause and pray instead of rushing ahead. Open your Bible, because the Spirit most often speaks through God's Word. Sometimes it's a settled peace, sometimes it's wise advice from a mature believer—pay attention to how God may already be speaking.
Notice that the word is 'guide,' not 'lecture.' A guide walks with you step by step, often showing you only the next step, not the whole map. If you're waiting for every answer before you move, you may wait forever. Ask instead, 'Lord, what's my next step?' and trust Him with what comes after.
Today, invite the Spirit into the ordinary stuff—your commute, your conversations, your work decisions. Truth isn't reserved for Sundays or big moments. The more you practice listening in small things, the clearer His voice becomes in the big ones.
Dear Lord, thank You for not leaving me on my own—thank You for Your Spirit who guides me into all truth. Help me slow down, listen, and take the next step You show me, even when I can't see the whole path. Amen.
