John 15:12

Jesus didn't just tell us to love — He showed us how. His love was patient, sacrificial, and it never waited for people to earn it. That's the standard He hands to us, and honestly, it's a high one.

But notice that love, for Jesus, wasn't mostly a feeling. It showed up in actions — washing feet, feeding hungry people, making time for the person everyone else avoided. Real love today looks a lot like that: showing up, listening well, and doing the small, unglamorous things nobody applauds.

Think about your day ahead. Maybe it's calling a friend who's been quiet lately, letting go of a grudge you've been carrying, or being patient with the family member who gets under your skin. Love usually costs us something small — time, pride, convenience — but those small costs are exactly where it becomes real.

And when it feels impossible, remember you're not loving out of your own empty tank. You love from the overflow of how completely you've already been loved. Ask God to help you see just one person today through His eyes — that's where it starts.

This kind of love won't make headlines, but it changes homes, friendships, and neighborhoods. One small act of love today is never wasted in God's hands.

Dear Lord, thank You for loving me first, even when I didn't deserve it. Help me today to love the people around me the way You love me — patiently, practically, and without keeping score. Make me Your hands and feet. Amen.
