Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

John 14:27 · Healing
Reflection 1

Jesus spoke these words on the night before He went to the cross, when trouble was closing in fast. He still offered peace, because His peace doesn't depend on calm circumstances the way the world's does. It holds steady even when everything around you is shaking.

Reflection 2

So how do you live this today? When anxiety rises—a hard phone call, a bill you can't pay, a sleepless night—pause for just a moment. Take a slow breath and say, "Lord, I receive Your peace right now." That small habit shifts your focus from the size of the problem to the nearness of Jesus.

Reflection 3

Fear and worry wound us in quiet ways: tight shoulders, racing thoughts, a heaviness we carry into every room. But His peace works like medicine for the soul. As you hand your concerns over to Him one at a time, let that peace settle into your body and mind too.

Reflection 4

Don't wait for peace to find you—actively receive it. Try writing your worries on paper, praying over each one, and then leaving them on the page. When fear knocks again later today, and it probably will, return to that same quiet trust.

Reflection 5

You don't have to manufacture calm or pretend everything is fine. The peace Jesus gives is a gift, already yours. Simply keep turning back to Him, and He will keep guarding your heart.

Prayer

Dear Lord, thank You for giving me a peace the world cannot give. When my heart grows troubled or afraid today, help me stop, breathe, and receive it. Fill every anxious place in me with Your calm presence. Amen.
