John 10:9

We spend so much of life trying to earn our way in — into acceptance, into success, even into God's approval. Jesus offers something completely different: Himself as the open door. You don't have to climb, strive, or prove anything. You simply come to Him.

That's good news for today, because maybe you feel locked out somewhere — from a relationship, an opportunity, or from feeling close to God. Whatever doors have closed on you, His door stands open. Salvation isn't a reward for the qualified; it's an invitation for anyone who comes.

Notice the promise of freedom: going in and going out. Following Jesus isn't about being trapped in a small, fearful life. It's the opposite — you can live openly and freely, because your security doesn't depend on your circumstances holding up.

He also promises pasture, which simply means daily nourishment. Practically, that looks like bringing your real needs to Him each morning — your worry, your decisions, your tiredness. Feed your soul with a few minutes of prayer or a verse before the rush of the day takes over.

So today, when you feel shut out or worn down, don't wear yourself out knocking on every other door first. Step through the one that never closes. Come in, rest a moment, and let Him lead you back out into your day with peace.

Dear Lord, thank You that I don't have to earn my way to You — You are the open door. Today I bring You my worries and my needs, and I choose to rest in Your care. Lead me in and out, and feed my soul. Amen.
