Job 36:11

Every day, God is speaking—through Scripture, through a quiet nudge in your spirit, through the wise words of a friend. The problem is rarely that God is silent. It's that we're often too busy, too distracted, or too stubborn to really listen.

But listening is only half of it. This verse pairs hearing with serving. When God shows you something—forgive that person, be honest in that deal, slow down and rest—you actually do it. Obedience in small, everyday choices is where blessing begins.

Notice the outcome: a life marked by God's abundance and goodness. In His economy, that's bigger than a bank account. It's peace in your home, purpose in your work, provision when you need it, and a clear conscience at night. A life aligned with God simply works better.

So try this: start tomorrow morning with five quiet minutes asking, 'Lord, what are You saying to me today?' Write down what rises from His Word. Then find one simple way to serve—your family, a coworker, a neighbor in need—and do it without needing recognition.

You don't have to force good things into your life. Keep listening, keep serving, and let God add the rest. He honors those who honor Him.

Dear Lord, teach me to hear Your voice clearly and give me the courage to obey what You say. Help me serve You faithfully in the small things today, and trust You with every blessing You've promised. In Jesus' name, Amen.
