Yahweh appeared of old to me, saying,“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness.
Some days you wake up feeling like you have to earn your place with everyone, including God. But His love for you didn't start when you got your act together, and it won't end when you mess up. It's everlasting, which means there was never a moment He didn't love you, and there never will be.
That truth should change how you start your morning. Instead of rushing out the door trying to prove yourself, you can begin the day already loved. Try this tomorrow: before you check your phone, take one minute to simply say, "God, thank You that I'm loved by You today, no strings attached."
It also changes how you handle failure. When you fall short, the old voice whispers that you're worthless and should hide in shame. But God's love answers differently; it draws you close instead of pushing you away. So when you sin, don't run from Him. Run to Him, because His kindness is what's pulling you home.
And love that's been received is meant to be passed on. Is there someone in your life who feels hard to love? Ask God to help you love them the way He loves you, patiently and without keeping score. One small act of undeserved kindness today might be exactly how someone else finally feels His everlasting love.
Dear Lord, thank You that Your love for me never runs out and never gives up on me. Help me live today from that love, not striving to earn it. Draw me closer to You, and use me to show Your kindness to someone else. Amen.
