Here is the good news—God already knows everything. Confession is not for His information; it is for our freedom. When you stop defending yourself and admit the specific sin you have been minimizing, you open the door to real healing. This week, try praying without a single 'but' or 'because' attached to your confession.
Notice that this verse talks about lying down in shame, not running from it. That means facing the truth about yourself without fighting it or covering it up. Shame loses its grip the moment you bring it into the light. God never asks you to confess so He can humiliate you—He asks so He can heal you.

Dear Lord, I come to You without excuses today and name my sin honestly before You. Thank You that Your mercy meets me right there in that moment of truth. Give me the courage to keep being honest with You and the grace to walk in Your forgiveness. Amen.
