Isaiah 9:3

God is not stingy with joy. He multiplies it. We often think joy is something we have to manufacture on our own, but this verse shows us a God who grows joy in His people generously — the way a farmer watches a full harvest come in after months of hard work.

Think about what harvest feels like: seasons of planting, waiting, and trusting, followed by the overwhelming relief of provision finally arriving. That is the kind of joy God gives. If you are in a waiting season right now, take heart — He has not forgotten you, and the joy He brings on the other side is worth the wait.

Here is something practical you can do today: name what God has already done for you. Write down three things He provided this week, even small things like a meal, a friend's call, or a good night's sleep. Gratitude is how we rejoice before Him, and joy grows every time we stop long enough to notice His gifts.

And if your joy feels thin right now, do not fake it — bring your weariness to God and ask Him to increase it. He specializes in multiplying what little we have. Watch for the small evidences of His care today, and let each one remind you that He is still working.

Remember too that joy was never meant to be kept to yourself. Share it — celebrate answered prayers with a friend, thank someone who blessed you, tell your family what God has done. Joy multiplies again when we give it away.

Dear Lord, thank You that You are a God who multiplies joy and gives it in abundance. Open my eyes today to the gifts You have already placed in my life, and where my joy feels small, increase it. Teach me to celebrate Your goodness out loud and to share that joy with the people around me. Amen.
